VEGAN CHINESE BBQ TOFU
Equipment

- Whisk
- Baking Sheet
- Aluminum foil
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon of Chinese five spice powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking
sheet with aluminum foil. - Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch cubes.
- In a mixing bowl,
whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, grated ginger, minced garlic, Chinese five spice powder, salt, and pepper. - Add the cubed tofu to the
bowl and toss until the tofu is coated with the marinade. - Transfer the tofu to the lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the tofu is browned and crispy.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve.
