  • 2 black tea bags or tea of your choice
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup plant-based milk such as almond, soy, oat, or coconut milk
  • 2-3 tbsp sweetener such as agave syrup, maple syrup, or cane sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • Ice cubes optional

  • Brewing the Tea: Start by placing the black tea bags in a teapot or heatproof pitcher. Pour the boiling water over the tea bags and allow them to steep for about 3-5 minutes, or until the tea reaches your desired strength.
  • Removing Tea Bags: Once the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags from the teapot.
  • Adding Sweetener: While the tea is still hot, stir in the sweetener of your choice. Adjust the amount to achieve your preferred level of sweetness.
  • Adding Plant-Based Milk: Allow the tea to cool slightly before adding the plant-based milk. Stir in the plant-based milk until well combined.
  • Adding Vanilla Extract (Optional): If desired, you can add a touch of vanilla extract to enhance the flavor of the milk tea.
  • Chilling the Milk Tea: If you prefer your milk tea cold, you can refrigerate it for a while or add ice cubes to it.
  • Serving: Pour the vegan milk tea into glasses filled with ice cubes (if using). Serve the milk tea immediately and enjoy!
